With over 42 years of dedicated experience in the dance industry, Lisa Macdonald is a highly respected figure in Newfoundland's artistic community. She holds an associate diploma from the Cecchetti Canada (CC) and Cecchetti International Classical Ballet (CICB) and is an associate member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD), in addition to being certified in progressing ballet technique level 1.

Lisa's journey began as an instructor at the Judy Knee Dance Studio, where she honed her craft for 25 years. Following this, she co-directed the Dance Academy for 15 years, nurturing countless dancers. In september 2024, she took the exciting step of opening her own studio, LMAC Dance ltd., marking a new chapter in her illustrious career.

As a member of the Dance Teachers of Newfoundland, the Canadian Cecchetti society, and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, Lisa has significantly contributed to the dance community. She proudly served as the atlantic representative for Cecchetti Canada for a decade. Her choreography and performances have graced numerous local festivals and events, showcasing her creative talent.

Lisa believes that dance is more than just physical movement; it cultivates inner strength, discipline, and drive. These qualities have been instrumental in her rewarding career and are the foundation of her teaching philosophy. In her classes, students receive comprehensive training that not only shapes them into skilled dancers but also empowers them to become accomplished individuals, ready to pursue their dreams with confidence.
