Lauren House
Lauren began dancing at the age of 3, where her love for ballet quickly developed. While she trained in all styles, this love led her to seek further training abroad, and at the age of 11, started to spend her summers travelling to ballet intensives.
Having travelled across North America, her training includes time spent at Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Canada’s National Ballet School, Alberta Ballet School, Quinte Ballet School of Canada, Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, as well as with the Radio City Rockettes and Broadway Dance Center. In addition to this training, Lauren spent nine years as a member of Kittiwake Dance Theatre, where she shared her love of dance through a multitude of performances across Newfoundland.
She has successfully completed her Advanced 2 RAD Ballet, her Advanced 1 in the Cecchetti method, Advanced 1 I.S.T.D Modern and Intermediate I.S.T.D Tap. Lauren is currently studying to earn her Cecchetti Associate to be able to further share her love of ballet and education with dancers. In 2014, she was awarded the DTAN Aspire Scholarship, and the Phylis Angel Scholarship in 2017.
Her love of performing led to her auditioning for the Walt Disney Company in 2023. Lauren was a featured performer at Hong Kong Disneyland on the opening team for World of Frozen, and with Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel Day at Sea on the Disney Dream. This experience broadened her horizons in a performance aspect and further pushed her love of dance and musical theatre. Lauren is excited to share her dance training and experience with aspiring dancers.
