Performance Program
Marie Steffen was one of the first studio owners in St. John’s to introduce a program geared towards dance students who yearned for a more comprehensive dance training. These students wanted to put in the work and progress quickly. They wanted to study with like-minded students. They wanted to excel in a number of dance styles. For these students dance was more than a recreational once a week activity. They wanted to immerse themselves in dance and surround themselves with a strong group of friends who shared common goals.
This was 20+ years ago. While the program has undergone several name changes, the core beliefs and workings of it remain the same. The students study Ballet, Jazz, Tap – adding Modern, Hip Hop and Latin as they advance. Our Performance Program students excel and find a deep love and passion for dance and the arts along the way. A number of students continued into dance professionally as teachers, choreographers and performing artists.
