On the Floor Dance Competition

Dates: April 2-6, 2025

Location: Convention Centre

Convention: There is no convention offered this year.

Parking: There is limited underground parking available at the Delta. Plan for parking downtown or a nearby parking lot. This will be easier on the weekend when not competing with local businesses like Fortis for parking. Give yourself an extra 15-20 minutes to find parking just in case! 

Competition Viewing: There are limited seats available for parents to view the competition. Please be aware that you may need to stand depending on the category.

Audience Admission: There is no cost for admission.

Ultimate Battle: By consensus of the On The Floor judges, the favourite group number from each studio will be chosen to perform for their judges at the end of the competition. There will be a battle for 12 and under and 13 and over. These numbers will be chosen based on what the judges remember as memorable pieces and ones that stand out. A number of criteria will also be kept in mind while choosing these pieces from highest marks, choreography, execution, technique, and overall concept. Families will be notified via email and text or facebook messenger when they have announced which of our groups are in the Ultimate Battle. The battle excludes all pre-competitive, novice, professional, solo, duet, and trio categories and divisions.
